Management of protected areas (cards)

SARDI works closely with governments and local communities to improve the management of protected areas as part of conservation plans for endangered species. Since 2021, in partnership with international stakeholders, SARDI implements the CA|RDS (Conservation Assured River Dolphins Standard) tool, which allows evaluating the effectiveness of these areas in protecting river dolphins and their habitats. This tool facilitates planning and improves decision-making in the conservation of the species.
